HMS Life is a journey; our journey. Despite the fact that we wouldn't meet until we were into our thirties, we had much in common. Recruited at 15 and 16 into the Royal Navy of the early 1970's, we were prepared for war like lambs to the slaughter: injured, wounded and formed by abuse and self-abuse that was somehow, everyday normal. But little did we know then, that redemption was at hand. We'd find it in Civvy Street. It would see us both become ordained Christian ministers. Then the real war began; the baggage of our former lives refusing to go away without the fiercest of fights.

HMS Life is a story of an era that can never be repeated. It's also the story of two parallel lives that prove absolutely that your past need not determine your future.
